We believe God is calling us to be a catalyst for spiritual awakening in Memphis and beyond.
We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, and ascended into Heaven.
We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation, and is the Comforter and Guide Who lives in every believer.
We believe that salvation is a gift received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that those persons who die in their sins without Christ spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven through Christ spend eternity in Heaven.
We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation.
We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head.
We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

We exist as a church to worship God, the Lord of life and to reconcile the world to her maker and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit through the process of Evangelism, Discipleship and intensive study of the word of God until all become His glory personified.
Doctrine
Here at UBCL, we believe God made a way for us to know Him. Assurance of salvation is a God-given confidence for every true believer in Christ of their present approval and future acceptance by their Father. We are a church that believes in the Bible and prays fervently.
Jesus
You can invite Christ to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior today. The moment you call upon His name and receive Him as your Lord and Savior, He makes you a new creation. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

Sunday English Service 8am-9am
During this English Worship Service, you can expect to sing some songs led by our Minister of Music, who is usually accompanied by the Choir . You will be blessed by a message from God’s Word, led by Rev'd Sam Oladejo, prefaced with prayer.
Sunday Mixed Service 10:30am -12:30 am
During this 10:30 am Worship Service, we speak both Yoruba and English Language, music features our praise team, led by our Music minister Rev'd Oluthomas. We will pray together, sing, celebrate baptisms, and listen to a message from God’s Word.
